Do the maths
Work out whether it pays for itself.
Most of the money is not in the subscription line — it is in the hours and the mispriced shelf. Move the sliders and see.
What is manual costing you?
Rough numbers are fine — move the sliders to your shop.
- Staff time recovered
- £436
- Margin from live repricing
- £324
- Sales saved from overselling
- £72
- Subscription
- −£249
An estimate, not a promise. Assumes automation removes 60% of stock-admin hours, live repricing recovers 1.8% of card revenue and oversell protection saves 0.4%. We will run it properly against your own numbers on a demo.
Questions
The things shop owners actually ask.
Do I have to replace my current POS?
Not on day one. Plenty of stores start with TCGMotion handling pricing, intake and channel sync while they keep taking payments where they always have. Most move the till over within a couple of months because trade-ins and singles search are the parts that hurt most — but it is your call, not a condition of using us.
How accurate is the card recognition?
It reliably reads set symbol, collector number and finish on modern print runs, and handles most vintage. When it is not sure, it asks rather than guesses — an unsure scan takes one tap to resolve instead of quietly mispricing a £400 card.
Where does the pricing data come from?
Aggregated live sales and listing data across the major marketplaces, normalised by condition and finish. You are never forced to accept a number: every rule, floor and margin band is yours, and nothing changes a customer-facing price unless you have said it can.
What happens to my existing inventory?
We migrate it. Send a CSV export from whatever you use today — including a shoebox-grade spreadsheet — and we match it against the catalogue, flag what we cannot resolve, and hand you a list to confirm before anything goes live.
Am I locked into a contract?
A three-month initial term so we both get past onboarding, then month-to-month. Cancel with 30 days notice and you take a full export of your catalogue, stock, pricing rules and sales history with you.
Who owns the data?
You do. We do not sell your sales figures, we do not use your buy rates to inform anyone else, and your stock data is never shared with another store. Full export is available on demand, not just on exit.
Not sure which plan fits?
Tell us how many singles you carry and where you sell them. We will tell you honestly which plan you need — including if that is the cheap one.
